Work backwards from the deadline: for a long piece of writing such as the primary source essay or the dissertation you should have a full, fairly polished draft ready for review at least seven to ten days before the deadline.
Instructions for Primary Source Analysis Essay
For pieces of work amounting to no more than 10% of the final mark (i.e. a primary source essay) an application should be made to the Part II Manager. The application must give sufficient reason, and it must be accompanied by written support from a College Tutor/DoS.
